Title: The Last of the Stanfields Pdf

A mystery, a love story, and a search through a shadowy past. Two strangers unite in this novel of family secrets by international bestselling author Marc Levy, the most read contemporary French author in the world.

When London journalist Eleanor-Rigby Donovan receives an anonymous letter alluding to a crime committed by her deceased mother, her life is turned upside down. It points her to a bar on the Baltimore Harbor, where she finds a stranger who has received the same mysterious letter about his own mother. Together, Eleanor-Rigby and this young man, George-Harrison Collins, embark on a quest through the shadowy past of the Stanfields, a moneyed Maryland family full of unimaginable secrets. These secrets will transport them back decades, across continents, and to a mysterious crime long buried…until now.

Must Read! This is an absolutely fantastic book. I started it this morning, and couldn’t put it down until I finished it. The stories, the characters, everything is so well developed and intriguing. The translator also did a wonderful job. Seriously. Go read it. It’s that good.Almost missed a good one! When the first of the month books come out, I always read the blurb for each one, whether I am interested in the book or not. With this one, I almost passed it up because of the characters named "Eleanor-Rigby" and "George-Harrison". Gimme a break! How good could this book be with character names like those? Fortunately for me, none of the other first reads intrigued me at all. Free book, might as well! What a good book! I'm sure others have reviewed it beautifully, so I'm not going to rehash it. Suffice it to say, it was good enough that I will definitely be buying more from this author. Don't let the inane names put you off. While they don't add anything to the book, they are easy enough to ignore. Ignoring the book because of them would be sad!Excellent! I see WHY the author is the most-read French author. The story spanned decades, but the characters were slowly revealed until the last twist.

Title: The Woodlands Series Boxed Set Pdf

Sixteen-year-old Rosa lives in one of the eight enclosed cities of The Woodlands, where the lone survivors of a devastating race war have settled in the Russian wilderness—the only habitable land left on the planet. The Superiors are ruthless in their control of the concrete cities, striving to create a 'raceless' society where everyone is the same. But Rosa has always been different—and that makes her a liability. She finds her counterpoint in Joseph and as the two grow closer, it becomes clear that if they want to be together, they will have to escape the tightly controlled Woodlands—and leave behind the only life they've ever known.

A dystopian page-turner with over 1,000 five-star ratings on Goodreads, The Woodlands Series is perfect for fans of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, The Divergent Series by Veronica Roth, and The Jewel Series by Amy Ewing. Readers can purchase this boxed set at a significant discount over the cost to purchase each novel individually. This is a complete-series boxed set.

The Woodlands is an Award-Winning Finalist in the "Fiction: Young Adult" category of the USA Best Book Awards, as well as a Semifinalist in The Kindle Book Awards by the Kindle Book Review.

College Algebra (12th Edition) Free Pdf

ISBN: 0134217454
Title: College Algebra (12th Edition) Pdf
Author: Margaret L. Lial
Published Date: 2015-12
Page: 816

Marge Lial (late) was always interested in math; it was her favorite subject in the first grade! Her desire to educate both her students and herself inspired the writing of numerous best-selling textbooks. Marge, who received Bachelor's and Master's degrees from California State University at Sacramento, was most recently affiliated with American River College. An avid reader and traveler, Marge’s travel experiences often find their way into her books as applications, exercise sets, and feature sets. She was particularly interested in archeology. Trips to various digs and ruin sites produced some fascinating problems for her textbooks, involving such topics as the building of Mayan pyramids and the acoustics of ancient ball courts in the Yucatan. When John Hornsby enrolled as an undergraduate at Louisiana State University, he was uncertain whether he wanted to study mathematics education or journalism. His ultimate decision was to become a teacher, and now after more than twenty-five years of teaching at the high school and university levels and fifteen years of writing mathematics textbooks, both of his goals have been realized. His love for both teaching andmathematics is evident in his passion for working with students and fellow teachers as well. His specific professional interests are recreational mathematics, mathematics history, and incorporating graphing calculators into the curriculum. John's personal life is busy, as he devotes time to his family (wife Gwen, and sons Chris, Jack, and Josh). He has been a rabid baseball fan all of his life. John's other hobbies include numismatics (the study of coins) and record collecting. He loves the music of the 1960s and has an extensive collection of the recorded works of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  David Schneider has taught mathematics at universities for more than 34 years and has authored 36 books. He has an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Oberlin College and a PhD in mathematics from MIT. During most of his professional career, he was on the faculty of the University of Maryland—College Park. His hobbies include travel, dancing, bicycling, and hiking.  Callie Daniels has always had a passion for learning mathematics and brings that passion into the classroom with her students. She attended the University of the Ozarks on an athletic scholarship, playing both basketball and tennis. While there, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education as well as the NAIA Academic All-American Award. She has two Master’s degrees: one in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Missouri—Rolla, the second in Adult Education from the University of Missouri—St. Louis. Her hobbies include watching her sons play sports, riding horses, fishing, shooting photographs, and playing guitar. Her professional interests include improving success in the community college mathematics sequence, using technology to enhance students’ understanding of mathematics, and creating materials that support classroom teaching and student understanding.

Both a hit and miss Some chapters are written nicely and is easy to learn and follow. Other chapters miss the mark! Examples are not given for some problems. The student is left to guess or YouTube for help in understanding the steps of how they came to the concluding answer.Useless! One of the worst textbooks I've ever used. I know it can be hard to write about mathematics, but this one misses the mark. It was a total waste of money. Ended up teaching myself the material from the MathLabs and looking up difficult topics online and in a different textbook at our campus tutoring center. Even the head math tutor said it was a horrible book!Warning, Book Alone is No Value This book is worthless with out the code (that is not included) and unless you click on the "more info" you won't see that it isn't included. Great way to rip off college freshmen who don't know any better. Shame on our college, too, as they did not do a good job of providing specifics about what exactly the student needed.
