Fascinating Inside Look Although I watch crime shows, it tells of characters in 3rd person. This inside look and ability for the girls to look back and wonder why they betrayed the trust of those who could help or maybe do something. Certainly if each person were honest with themselves, they could think of a time where the need to align on the side of power or authority (the monster mom, in this case) was really based on fear of being on the wrong side or possible target of those feared the most. This was a great story and even more impressive to know this was not fiction.Sadistic, dark and Vengeful Mother! You Can't Put it Down! Shelly was Sadistic, Dark and Vengeful from the time she was a young girl and it carried on as an adult and sadly as a Mother as well. Could her Sadistic personality disorder been inherited from her Grandmother? You Can't Put this Book Down but at times you don't want to read anymore! Gregg Did a great job, hooking the reader right from the beginning and he takes you on an emotional roller coaster through tragedies and the lives of three sisters and their Mother Shelly. After almost a decade, Greg olsen is back with the most heretick true story you may ever read. What happens behind the doors in a small farmhouse in Washington will leave even the most seasoned true crime buff having nightmares. The unbelievable acts of terror that these poor little girls endured is completely unimaginable to me. On the outside they look like a normal family. Beautiful girls and a beautiful mom. What happens behind those doors is her orific. I'm not quite sure how these girls had the strength to make it through all the torture their sadistic mother put them through. I'm sure this was an incredibly hard book to write, but Gregg Olsen truly gave these beautiful girls their voice. If You Tell will make you cry, make your stomach ache and break your heart. Wonderfully written!!!
